KENNETH YOUNG

KENNETH J. YOUNG

With a career that spans three decades, six continents and as many industries, Kenneth J. Young has spent his life empowering, encouraging and inspiring others. A charismatic and powerful leader, Young draws on his experience as a business executive, workshop designer, motivational speaker and personal transformation coach to create opportunities for quantum change.

Kenneth J. Young is the founder and CEO of The Young Group (TYG), a business consulting firm that helps clients reveal passion, recover vision and transform both into action plans that produce fulfilling and rewarding results. TYG is an advisor (or TYG consults clients) for Sunbelt Business Brokers, the world largest business brokerage network sunbeltnetwork.com. He and his wife, Karen, are the owners of a Huntington Learning Center Franchise, a supplemental education center that helps kids improve their skills, catch up and keep up to their grade standard and increase their confidence, located in Centerville Ohio.

Since 2004, Kenneth has used his ability to shape behavior through coaching and inspiration to help entrepreneurs develop plans and actions that stack the deck for success for buying or selling businesses. Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Kenneth studied psychology and spent much of the1970s and early 1980s working for the New Jersey Department of Corrections as Vocational Counselor, Program Director and Substance Abuse Counselor. A natural motivator, he served as a catalyst for the dramatic turnaround of thousands of lives. It didn't take long for the corporate world to notice his gifts. By 1983, Ken was using personal transformation techniques honed earlier in his career to spark organizational improvements at Bush Refrigeration in Camden, NJ. As Vice President, of Operations, his initiatives resulted in more than 15 percent increase in profitability each year. While he was guiding Bush Refrigeration to success, Kenneth continued working on his own personal transformation.

After several years as a volunteer facilitator for the Landmark Forum, he joined Landmark Education Corporation and spent the next ten years leading personal development and effectiveness seminars, managing sales and recruitment and overseeing volunteer programs for Landmark Forums conducted throughout the United States, Kenya, South Africa and Zimbabwe. Before striking out on his own, Kenneth worked as Regional Sales Director for NxGen, Inc. where he used his gift for shaping behavior through coaching and inspiration to empower sales representatives.

Throughout the 1990s, Kenneth created initiatives designed to spur personal and cultural transformation in every socio-economic group. As the Director of the Youth Business Entrepreneur Program for the Boys & Girls Club of Chicago, he helped teens launch and run a manufacturing company. In 1995, he was one of fourteen trainers selected from 300 applicants to partner with the Chicago Alliance for Neighborhood Safety and the Chicago Police Department to design and coordinate the city's first-ever community alternative police training workshops. As the co-founder of the International Black Summit, he designed and delivered workshops that have helped thousands develop a vision for the future and a plan for the transformation of lives and communities.

Inspired by his work with individuals in Africa and armed with a deeper understanding of humankind's innate capacity for personal transformation, Kenneth began documenting what would become an innovative new way to motivate quantum personal change. In 2000 he co-founded The R.E.A.L. One, LLC, a leadership development partnership that used this approach to generate breakthrough results for a wide variety of clients, including Fortune 500 companies. As CEO of The R.E.A.L. One, LLC, Kenneth and his associates collaborated with two other consulting firms to design and deliver Transcending Differences: Breaking the Cycle of Prejudice, a groundbreaking seminar designed for Canadian business and members of the Human Rights Commission of Nova Scotia.

Drawing on a lifetime of experience and a bottomless well of inspiration, Kenneth motivates and empowers everyone who is fortunate enough to cross his path. Whether leading a group of hundreds to transform a beleaguered community or helping a would-be entrepreneur break through self-imposed limitations, Kenneth J. Young is one of the most sought-after personal transformation consultants working today. He serves clients worldwide from offices in the South Central Ohio area.
